Ethan H. Golden-Heated Windshield Pad

1. Product Strategy- Growing up in the Northeast I've had a life long battle with ice. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to scrape the windshield of my car when it's icy. I'm sure that I'm not the only person out there who feels this way. I feel that this product will sell very well on the market.

2. Idea Generation- I thought of this idea after seeing a commercial for a heated sidewalk pad. I know that I have been late either to school or work because I was stuck scraping ice off my windshield. I feel that if I had this product that it would have helped get me to my destination on time.

3. Business Analysis:

a. Demand- The demand for the product would be people who are effected by ice and who own a vehicle.

b. Customer benefits from the product- The customer would not have to go out and scrape their windshield or rear window. Saves valuable time. Customer wouldn't have to stand in the cold and scrape their window.

c. Risk of failure- Every product has a risk for failure but without taking the risk you will never know if you can make a profit. I feel that the risk of failure for this product would be minimal due to the convenience of the product.

4. Development- The development of the product would consist of finding the right material that would allow you to place some kind of heating core throughout it. The heat would be powered by the vehicles battery via a cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Also the product could be made of some kind of solar material that stores heat.

5. Test Marketing- I would test the product on my own vehicle as well as family and friends.

6. Competitor Response- I'm sure that someone will try and copy this product but they won't be able to provide the quality or effectiveness that the original will provide.
